Dr. Basavaprabhu Jirli

He did his graduation and post-graduation from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, obtained PhD from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. Earlier served as Documentation Scientist at Karnataka Rajya Vigyana Parishat, Banagalore, Research Associate, National Research Centre for Rapeseed Mustard, Bharatpur (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) and Assistant Professor in Central Agricultural University. Presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Extension Education, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, and Banaras Hindu University. He has been engaged in teaching and research for more than 13 (Thirteen) years. Have more than 27 research publications, five edited volumes of proceedings and three edited and two authored books to his credit. Areas of research interests include ICT application in Extension services, Entrepreneurship development in agriculture, documentation and validation of ITKs. He is an active member of more than 12 Professional Societies of Agricultural Extension at national and international levels. Served as co-principal Investigator of the Department of Science and Technology funded project entitled “Quality mode production in Rice – Wheat cropping system through farmers’ interest groups”. Served as coordinator of e-Sagu componenet of Grameen Gyan Kendra Project of IIT, BHU. Also associated with the project on Agro Meteorological Advisory services to framers, in collaboration with Department of Geophysics, BHU, a project funded by Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Serving as Editor, Journal of Global Communication, which is official journal of Global Communication Research Association, North Ryde, New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Dr. Jirli is the recipient of Best Teacher Award from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

Dr. V.K. Paswan

He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, at Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Paswan has graduated in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Ranchi Veterinary College, BAU, Ranchi & Post Graduate (Master’s and Ph.D.) in Animal Nutrition from IVRI, Izatnagar. He has more than 10 years of research experience and more than 5 years of teaching and research experience at BHU. His area of expertise includes Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry particularly Animal Nutrition. His current area of research interests are Feed- Food Quality and Safety, Dairy Animal and Poultry Nutrition and Meat Science and Technology. He is working on two externally funded research projects as PI and CoPI. He is Life Member of Several Professional Associations like Animal Nutrition Association (ANA), Bareilly; Animal Nutrition Society of India (ANSI), Karnal; Indian Meat Science Association (IMSA), Hyderabad; Indian Society for Sheep and Goat Production and Utilization (ISSGPU), Rajasthan; Indian Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare (IAVNAW), Izatnagar, Bareilly; Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi; Bihar State Veterinary Council, Patna and member of Indian Dairy Association, New Delhi. He is treasurer of Eastern UP chapter of Indian Dairy Association (IDA) and he is a member of Centran Animal Ethical Committee (CAEC) of BHU. Dr. Paswan has published Several Articles in the area of Animal Nutrition and Feed and Food Technology in Different National and International Journals and Magazines. Recently he has been awarded by prestigious Cochran Fellowship by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and has done a training on Meat processing and Food Safety at Mississippi State University, USA.

Dr. V. Kamalvanshi

(M.Sc (Ag. Economics), Ph.D)

He is Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics department at Banaras Hindu University. He has more than 9 years of experience to work in Teaching, Extension and Research in Agriculture especially Agribusiness, Food Economics and Entrepreneurship Development. He also worked as a lecturer in Government Degree College, Jakhini, Varanasi, India. He worked as a Counsellor for Indira Gandhi Open University in course PGCAP (Post Graduate Certificate in Agriculture Policy). He has membership of various prestigious societies like Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Society of Agricultural Economics and editorial board of various national and international journals. His areas of experiences are: Agribusiness- developing agribusiness plans on various Agro Products, Entrepreneurship development especially among farmers through SHG and Producers organizations. Income generation measures for farmers Like Agro-tourism and   Integrated farming etc.

Dr. D S Bunkar

He is holding the Position of Assistant Professor, (Fermentation and Enzyme Technology), Centre of Food Science &Technology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He did his Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology, from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur & Master of Technology in Food Engineering & Technology from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal, Punjab. He is Member of different organizations as full member of “Association of Food Scientists and Technologists” CFTRI, Mysore, India, Life member of Dairy Technology Society of India, NDRI, Karnal. He published Research paper, Book Chapter and Articles in Different National and International peer reviewed Journals and participated in many Workshop, National training,

National and International Conference. He is also Academic Counsellor for IGNOU Courses of Diploma Programme Value Added Products from Fruit and Vegetables (DVAPFV). He has organized as Co-Convener National Training for Fruit & Vegetable Producers / Processors in USAID supported Agricultural innovation Partnership (AIP) programme from March 13-15, 2012 at CFST, IAS, BHU, Varanasi. Summer School from 15 Sept. to 5 Oct. 2010 organized by CFST, IAS, BHU, Varanasi. He has directed 5 Students of M.Sc. (Food Science & Technology).
